Changing the Fuser Unit

The Fuser can be easily changed, but you must pay careful attention as it can become very hot
Before replacing any consumables it is necessary to power off the printer using the safe shutdown procedure described in the Knowledgebase article below:
"Shutdown/Restart process"
How do I change the Fuser unit?
1. Turn the release on the handle and lift the scanner up (Fig 1)
2. Fully open the printer cover (Fig 2)
3. The Fuser unit is located inside the printer
next to the cyan toner. You will notice that it has a handle which
must be used when handling this unit. Pull the blue leaver on the
fuser to the right (Fig
3)
4. Holding the fuser by its handle (Fig 4) lift it out of the printer and place it to one side
5. Remove all outer packaging from the new fuser
unit
6. Holding the new fuser by it's handle lower it into the printer. When aligned correctly the fuser will fit into the correct position without any additional pressure needing to be added
7. Pull the leaver on the fuser unit to the left to lock it into position
8. Close the printer cover
9. Pull the release leaver on the handle and lower the scanner down into it's original position
You have now successfully replaced the fuser unit.
