What is Black Overprint?

The industry term Black Overprint enables printing of 100% black characters onto a coloured background without removing the background colour from behind the characters.
You should use this function when misregistration causes white lines to appear around the characters.
- This function only applies to 100% black characters. It cannot be used for characters that look black but are not actually 100% black, graphic characters produced by outline extraction or characters in images.
