Printer Control System
In-built intelligence makes printing as simple as it should be. Each printer has a Printer Management System which constantly checks alignment, registration and colour balance - to make printing as simple as it should be and ensure high definition color output - every time.
Printer Control System - The 4 Key Advantages:
- In-built intelligence automatically simplifies printing. Just click print.
- Automatic alignment for sharp, clear images every time.
- Auto colour checking and matching, with Photo Enhance for professional photo-like quality even on ordinary office paper.
- Printer automatically adjusts to different media weights - avoids manual setting and maintains quality*.

OKI Printing Solutions is known for its LED (Light Emitting Diode) technology. This innovation delivers High Definition printing - for breathtaking output every time. All our latest generation of digital colour printers feature High Definition LED Printheads. These digital LED printers use the same principles as lasers to print, but being more accurate they can produce higher quality prints. LEDs don't have moving parts like a laser scanning beam, so are more reliable. In fact, LED heads are so reliable they come with a life time guarantee.
The way it works
An A3 1200dpi colour printer has 61,440 digital LEDs across the width of the photo-sensitive drum that 'write' the page image on to the drum. The action of light changes the static properties of the drum surface, so as the LEDs start up, the voltage becomes more positive, sketching out an image on the drum surface in static charge.
Toner from the developer roller is then charged and is attracted electrostatically to the image written on the drum. To get the toner onto the paper the transfer roller is charged to a high positive voltage on the underside of the paper. The toner is then transferred across to the paper surface. Each colour is laid down onto the paper while passing through the straight paper path. Finally, the paper moves to the fuser where the colours are heat pressure sealed.
